Full/Part Time Optician/Optometric Assistant Position

Cochrane, AB, Canada | Full Time

River Heights Eye Care

River Heights Eye Care is a state-of-the-art, family-oriented clinic in south Cochrane. We strive to provide the utmost high quality patient care. We are looking for an optician/optometric assistant who is a team player, has good communication skills, committed to building meaningful relationships with patients of all ages, and is enthusiastic about learning about advancing optical lens technologies and the newest eye wear trends and sales. The ideal candidate would be comfortable staying up to date with the latest lens and medical technologies through continuing education.

Responsibilities:
Warmly welcome and greet patients
Reception duties
Pretest patients using diagnostic imaging and other technology
Preparation of exam rooms
Contact lens training for patients
Support patients with eye wear and lens selection
Spectacle adjustments and repairs
Management of inventory, including returns and warranties

Requirements:
Self motivated
Proficient at multitasking
Genuine concern for needs of patients
Team player
Good computer skills (Windows 10, email, Microsoft Office)
Dispensary experience
